PTSI (physics, technology, engineering science)
PTSI, the first year of the physics, technology and engineering science track of French prépa, leans toward technology and engineering. Lumi helps you remember the notions of mechanics, electricity and modelling.

In short
PTSI stands for physique, technologie et sciences de l’ingénieur. This science prépa first year gives a large place to industrial science, with studies of real systems, lab work and design, beside maths and physics. It leads to the second year PT. There, the entrance exams open engineering schools.
What goes on your cards
In PTSI, make cards for laws of mechanics and electricity, quantities and their units, system modelling (block diagrams, transfer functions), maths definitions and technology vocabulary. Lumi has you recall them.
A study rhythm
Keep a review after each lab or system study, while the vocabulary is fresh. One short daily session is enough, with a wider weekly check (Cepeda et al., 2008). Before mock exams and the second-year papers, replay the oldest mechanics chapters. See Spaced repetition, how long to wait between two reviews.
