Chemistry
Chemistry has a lot of definitions, constants, formulas and rules to know before you can solve an exercise. Lumi has you recall them regularly so they stay available.

How to turn this subject into cards
In chemistry, make one card set per idea (mole, concentration, pH, redox, equilibrium) with three parts, the definition, the formula with its units, and the method in steps for a typical exercise. Add a card set for the periodic table, constants and the formulas of common ions. The usual trap is balancing correctly in class and then forgetting the method alone, or mixing up an amount of substance and a concentration. Lumi quizzes you on definitions, units and steps, and lets you correct its deliberate mistakes. Testing yourself beats rereading (Roediger and Karpicke, 2006). It helps you remember definitions, formulas, units and method steps.

Avogadro’s constant is about 6.02 times 10 to the 23 per mole. A solution with a pH of 7 is neutral at 25 degrees Celsius. Molarity equals moles of solute divided by liters of solution. Oxidation is the loss of electrons and reduction is the gain of electrons. The periodic table orders elements by atomic number.
Lumi’s question
