High school

High school covers grades 9 to 12, with separate classes and regular quizzes and tests. Lumi turns your class notes into questions and quizzes you again before each test.

In short

High school runs from 9th to 12th grade, known as freshman, sophomore, junior and senior year. Students take several classes each term, and their grades build up over the years into a transcript. That transcript matters later for college admission, along with tests like the SAT or ACT and AP classes. Programs vary by state and by school, so the exact content depends on yours. Typical subjects are algebra, biology, US history and English.

What goes on your cards

Biology vocabulary, dates and causes in US history, algebra and geometry formulas, grammar rules and literary terms all turn into good cards. One card per chapter is enough, with one idea per sentence. Lumi helps you keep what class already taught you, not understand a chapter you have not seen yet.

A study rhythm

Go back over your card the same evening, then a few days later, instead of the night before the quiz. The best gap grows with the delay before the test (Cepeda et al., 2008). For an end-of-term final, spread your sessions over several weeks.
