Hypokhâgne and khâgne A/L (classics-based humanities prépa)
Hypokhâgne then khâgne A/L make up the classic humanities prépa, with Latin or Greek. Lumi helps you keep in mind the works, quotes and landmarks you must be able to call upon in writing.

In short
Hypokhâgne is the first year and khâgne the second, in the humanities classe préparatoire. The A/L track, lettres, emphasises literature, philosophy, history, modern languages and ancient languages, Latin or Greek. It notably prepares for the banque d’épreuves littéraires, which opens the ENS, and for other schools and exams. You write many essays, commentaries and translations.
What goes on your cards
In A/L, make cards for the set works with summary, themes and passages to quote, philosophy notions and authors, chronological landmarks in history, Latin or Greek vocabulary, and irregular verbs in languages. Lumi has you recall them.
A study rhythm
The set works are long, so read then make cards, and add quotes while reading. One short daily session is enough to maintain them (Rawson and Dunlosky, 2011). In the first semester of khâgne, widen with a weekly review. At the end of the year, replay the whole programme before the written exams. See Spaced repetition, how long to wait between two reviews.
